(“Purplesful,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of anyone who visits purplesful.com (the “Site”) or participates in any Purplesful promotion or campaign. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.

This policy applies to all visitors to our Site, customers who make purchases, and individuals who submit claims or sign up for communications through any Purplesful channel. By using the Site or submitting any personal information to us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable law.

Campaign and promotion data (including refund claim submissions) will be retained for six (6) months following the close of the applicable campaign, after which it will be securely deleted.
Transaction and order data will be retained for a minimum of seven (7) years as required for tax and accounting purposes under applicable Canadian law.
Marketing consent records will be retained for as long as you remain subscribed, and for a reasonable period following unsubscription to demonstrate compliance with CASL.
Analytics data is retained in anonymized or aggregated form and is not subject to the same deletion timelines as personal information.

7. Marketing Communications and CASL

We will only send you commercial electronic messages (including promotional emails or SMS messages) if you have explicitly opted in to receive them. Your consent to receive marketing communications is separate from and independent of any other interaction with us, including submitting a refund claim or making a purchase.

You may withdraw your consent to receive marketing communications at any time by:

Clicking the unsubscribe link included in any marketing email we send you; or
Contacting us directly at the address in Section 10

Withdrawal of marketing consent will not affect any other relationship you have with us, including the processing of an active refund claim.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our Site is intended for a general audience and is accessible to visitors of all ages. However, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental or guardian consent. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take prompt steps to delete that information from our records.

Please note that certain Purplesful promotions, including the Told You So Trial, are restricted to individuals aged 18 and over.

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

Withdraw consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information, subject to legal and contractual obligations
Request deletion of your personal information where it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, subject to our legal retention obligations
File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe your privacy rights have been violated
